Why should I have this scan?
You may be referred by a clinician or choose to book a private scan if you are experiencing:

How to prepare for your scan
To ensure the clearest possible images, please follow these preparation guidelines:
Fast for 6–8 hours: Please do not eat or drink (except for small sips of water) for at least 6 hours before your appointment. This reduces bowel gas and ensures the gallbladder is distended for better visualization.
Medication: Continue taking any regular prescribed medication with a small amount of water. If you are diabetic, please contact us for specific advice regarding your fasting schedule.
What to wear: We recommend loose-fitting, comfortable clothing. You may be asked to lift your top to allow the sonographer to apply a small amount of warm gel to your abdomen.
