What are the preparations for a Paediatric Ultrasound Scan?
No special preparation is required for this scan. You may be asked to attend with a comfortably full bladder to help improve visibility. It is recommended to stay well hydrated and wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. If you have any questions before your appointment, our team will be happy to guide you.
Appointment & Cancellation Policy
To secure your scan appointment at our North End Road Clinic, a non-refundable deposit of £30 is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance of £120 (+£75 per additional part, If requested) is payable at the clinic following your scan.
Cancellation & Fees:
48-Hour Notice: If you cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 48 hours' notice, the deposit will not be returned.
Processing Fees: In the event of a cancellation, any transaction or administrative fees charged to Ultramsono by the card provider will be deducted from any potential refund or charged to You / The customer.

A: We believe in fast answers. You will receive a comprehensive digital report on the same day as your scan, which you can easily share with your GP or specialist if required.

A: To help make your child’s ultrasound experience as comfortable and relaxed as possible, we recommend bringing along a favourite toy or comfort item to help them feel at ease. Parents or guardians are encouraged to stay with their child throughout the entire scan to provide reassurance and support. For certain scans, such as abdominal, renal, or pelvic ultrasounds, your child may be asked to fast for approximately four hours before the appointment and arrive with a full bladder to ensure the best imaging quality. Our compassionate team at Ultramsono is always happy to guide you through the preparation process and answer any questions you may have before your child’s appointment.
