Please note that no ultrasound can guarantee 100% accuracy in determining gender, but our trained clinicians will offer the most reliable assessment possible based on your baby’s position and gestational age.
How is the Gender Scan performed?
This scan is typically performed using a transabdominal ultrasound, where a small handheld probe is gently moved across your abdomen to obtain clear images. In some cases, if visibility is limited, a transvaginal scan may be recommended to improve accuracy. While this scan’s focus is identifying fetal gender, it also allows for basic checks of fetal wellbeing.
What are the preparations for a Gender Scan?
No special preparation is required for this scan. You may be asked to attend with a comfortably full bladder to help improve visibility. It is recommended to stay well hydrated and wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. If you have any questions before your appointment, our team will be happy to guide you.
Appointment & Cancellation Policy
To secure your scan appointment at our North End Road Clinic, a non-refundable deposit of £30 is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance of £45 is payable at the clinic following your scan.
Cancellation & Fees:
48-Hour Notice: If you cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 48 hours' notice, the deposit will not be returned.
Processing Fees: In the event of a cancellation, any transaction or administrative fees charged to Ultramsono by the card provider will be deducted from any potential refund or charged to You / The customer.
