At Ultramsono, we’re passionate about delivering high-quality private ultrasound scans in a calm, caring, and professional environment. Our mission is to ensure that every patient feels comfortable, informed, and confident throughout their journey, from booking to results.
UltramSono is a private ultrasound clinic in West London, conveniently located near Kensington Olympia. We provide a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound services in a calm, professional and welcoming environment, with a strong focus on clinical quality, patient comfort and clear communication.
Our aim is simple: to make high-quality ultrasound imaging accessible, reassuring and straightforward.
Patients can self-refer for most of our ultrasound services without the need for a GP referral. Our clinic offers flexible appointments, advanced ultrasound technology and comprehensive digital reports, with results provided on the same day.
Dr. Marzieh Abbassi Ph.D
Dr Marzieh Abbasi is the Director and Lead Clinician at UltramSono.
With more than 15 years of experience in ultrasound and diagnostic imaging, she has developed extensive clinical experience across a wide range of ultrasound examinations.
Since 2011, she has worked within NHS hospital environments in London and continues to work within the NHS, including at Whittington Hospital.
Alongside her clinical work, Dr Abbasi continues to develop her specialist expertise through advanced professional training. She is currently undertaking further university-level training focused on head and neck ultrasound and ultrasound-guided assessment and sampling of thyroid lesions.
Her approach combines clinical experience with careful examination, clear communication and compassionate patient care. She believes that patients should not only receive a detailed examination, but also feel comfortable, informed and listened to throughout their appointment.
Our Approach
Every appointment is centred around the individual patient.
We allow time for careful assessment, explanation and questions, while using advanced ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Where appropriate, findings are explained during the appointment and a comprehensive digital report is provided on the same day, which can be shared with your GP or specialist.

A: We believe in fast answers. You will receive a comprehensive digital report on the same day as your scan, which you can easily share with your GP or specialist if required.

A: There is no lift / elevator, we are on the 1st floor, help can be provided whilst using the stairs.

A: We share the premises with King’s Dental at 36 North End Rd, London W14 0SH.
Once you arrive for your appointment, please contact us on the number provided and we will meet you on the ground level.

A: No, you do not need a GP referral to book most of our ultrasound scans. As a private clinic, you can self-refer and book directly with us. However, if you would like the results shared with your GP or consultant, we are happy to send them a copy with your consent.

A: Preparation depends on the type of scan you are having.
Abdominal scans: You may be asked to fast for 4–6 hours.
Pelvic scans: A full bladder is usually required.

A: Yes. Ultrasound scans are very safe and use sound waves (not radiation) to create images. They are routinely used in pregnancy and medical imaging worldwide and have an excellent safety profile.

A: Yes, you are welcome to bring one companion to your appointment. We understand that scans can be an important and sometimes emotional experience. For pregnancy scans, one guest is usually permitted. Please inform us in advance if you plan to bring someone.

A: If we identify any findings that require further medical assessment, we will explain everything clearly and provide you with a detailed report. With your permission, we can also forward the report to your GP or specialist for follow-up care.

Cancellation & Fees:
48-Hour Notice: If you cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 48 hours' notice, the deposit will not be returned.
• Processing Fees: In the event of a cancellation, any transaction or administrative fees charged to Ultramsono by the card provider will be deducted from any potential refund or charged to the customer.
